In recent years, some Oklahoma lawmakers have pushed for Big Government mandates, regulations and control that goes well beyond what is in Obamacare. Lawmakers have also sought to dismantle private health plan networks, hamstringing the free market’s ability to contain costs. These policy decisions have led to rising health care costs, fewer choices for consumers, and decisions by many small businesses to drop healthcare coverage altogether.

 

We are asking lawmakers to:

• Oppose or repeal mandates that reward or allow price gouging, markups and hidden fees

• Oppose any new unfunded government mandates in healthcare

• Allow employers to choose their own benefit coverage and oppose any attempt to use government to rewrite private contracts

• Protect health plan networks that exist to contain costs and protect consumers/patients
