Oklahoma Families for Affordable Healthcare provides an independent, non-partisan voice for families and businesses around issues impacting the cost of healthcare. We advocate for policies that reduce costs and save lives by increasing access to affordable healthcare in Oklahomans.

In 2019, OKFAHC was created to advocate for sound healthcare policies that reduce the cost of care. Since its inception, OKFAHC has become the much-needed voice for Oklahoma families and business who believe that the cost of healthcare is out-of-control.

Oklahoma Families for Affordable Healthcare (OKFAHC) is supported by private individual advocates and business partners. Over 58,000 Oklahomans have signed up to be a part of our coalition or used our platform to contact their lawmakers.

OKFAHC closely monitors trends in healthcare policy and engages with lawmakers, regulators, and traditional and social media in order to educate Oklahomans about legislation and/or regulations the cost or accessibility of healthcare.
MEET JULIE McKONE
OKFAHC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Julie McKone is the Executive Director of Oklahoma Families for Affordable Healthcare (“OKFAHC”), which was created in 2019 to advocate for sound health care policies. The mission of OKFAHC is to promote policies that reduce the cost of health care, protect the budgets of both families and businesses, and ultimately save lives by increasing access to affordable healthcare to all in Oklahoma.
An educator for over two decades, Julie’s passion has always been advocating for children and families. Her fight for affordable healthcare began after seeing the impact of rising healthcare costs on her fellow teachers, her students, and her own family.
Julie’s husband Chris is a military veteran who has been serving for over 20 years as a pilot in the US Navy. Together they have two daughters. Julie and her family enjoy spending time together, traveling and watching college football.
